For years our family has been passionate about the many amazing benefits and natural uses the humble coconut can provide.  We took great care with researching and investing in our oil extraction method, so our consumers can have the best oil available.  Our aim is to not just sell coconut oil, but to promote the many versatile uses for it.  As a family based company, we are committed to maintaining high quality oil production to create the best coconut oil brand for our consumers.

MISSION & VISION

Apart from producing organic virgin coconut oil, our family wanted to make a positive difference to the community of the oil’s country of origin.  Our oil is produced from locally hand gathered wild coconuts in the Solomon Islands.  We have worked hard to developing strong community relationships with the locals in order to achieve a successful operation.

One thing we ask consumers is why buy imported coconut oils from afar, when our Pacific Island neighbours can produce the best oil from the tastiest coconuts?  We can personally say that our customers will be buying straight from the source as well as contributing to a cause we are passionate about.

Supporting our business would be providing opportunities for locals to train, work and learn new skills to help improve their economy.  With the success of our Solomon Island operation, we now have our beautiful organic virgin coconut oil available for the New Zealand market.

COLD PRESSED & CENTRIFUGED COCONUT OIL

VCO Natural’s Organic Virgin Coconut Oil is produced through what is called the wet milling system and then through a fast centrifuge system whereby 99% of moisture content is removed.  Not many companys are willing to invest the time and resources with locals for this particular setup as it is a very difficult and unique operation .  Our company believes that people can achieve anything when they are given the opportunity to improve their local economy and community.

This extraction method produces oil with the least amount of processing so that the natural vitamin E, antioxidants and fresh coconut “essence” are retained. Fresh coconut meat is grated and cold pressed to produce coconut milk. The coconut milk is then centrifuged to separate the oil from the other components. This oil has a very light texture and since no heat at all is applied, it retains all the flavour and scent of fresh coconuts. It has a low moisture content hence heating is not necessary. When combined with good processing practices within 24 hours of freshly harvested coconuts, the end result is the most natural and highest quality coconut oil available today.
